The wheelchair dance sport was founded in Slovak Republic in 2001. Without any state help and despite of the wrong doing of the Slovak Paralympic Committee we created high quality representation with amazing  world results: World Champions, Champions of Europe, Asian, winners of the World and European Cups.

The first president of SZTSV was Andrej Micunek in 2001-2005 and from 2005 the president is Martin Dait, who is at the same time great and successful representant and today trainer of this sport as well.


The member clubs were TK „DANUBE“ Bratislava, TK „ANITA“ Žarnovica“, TK „CHARIZMA“ Nová Baňa, TK „GRACIA“ Kokava nad Rimavicou, TK „ELLEGANCE“ KOŠICE.

Since 2009, our federation and our champions have been harmed by an illegal amendment of the Statutes of the Slovak Paralympic Committee (legal analysis of Dr. Čarnogurský – former prime minister of the Slovak republic  as well as Dr. Stavrovská – Commissioner for People with Disabilities). Only TK "ELLEGANCE" separated from our federation and leaned towards an illegal state. Their 2 couples could go to IPC (International Paralympic Committee) competitions, where without our couples they could win medals and "titles" of the World or European Championships, with what they present themselves without any shame. On purpose they ignore the fact that the only way they could achieve these results was banning our champions from competing. This is how the support of sport for the disabled people looks like according to the Slovak Paralympic Committee. SHAME.

However, we were still able to compete outside of the IPC and we continued bringing gold, silver and bronze medals for our stunning and inspiring performances.
Finally, we became part of the World Integrative Dance Association, whose president was elected Mr. Andrej Micunek, the founder of this sport in the Slovak Republic and abroad.
